What is Reiki?
Author & Reiki healer William Lee Rand defines Reiki as a “Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.” Reiki can also be defined as a universal life force that promotes health and healing.
How does it work?
A trained Reiki practitioner conducts a healing session by placing his or her hands in various positions throughout a client’s body to deliver Reiki. If a client is sensitive to touch, Reiki can be delivered from just above the client’s body to promote health, healing, and relaxation. A typical Reiki session lasts approximately one hour.
My Personal Account
“In March of 2015, I received my Reiki 1 attunement and training. Since then, I have been amazed at the healing and relaxation benefits. Personally, I have observed drastic changes in my own stress and anxiety. After delivering sessions to friends and family, they have reported extreme relaxation and pain relief.
My most astonishing results from Reiki came after someone close to me was in a serious car accident. That same evening, I delivered a Reiki session. Not only was I able to intuitively identify all areas of pain, but the next day she reported that she was completely pain free! She attributed the Reiki session to her healing, knowing she should have been extremely sore after the previous day’s crash.”
